  • Profile Photo: You may choose to upload a profile photo, which is stored in our systems.
  • Goals and Tasks: Information about your goals, tasks, schedules, and optional location names you associate with tasks.
  • Google Calendar Data: If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we access and sync your calendar events to provide scheduling features.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Location Information: With your permission, we collect precise location data (latitude and longitude) both when you are using the App and in the background (if you enable background location sharing). Location data is used to:
    • Show your location on the Social map to friends (if you enable location sharing with friends)
    • Display your approximate location on the Explore feature (if you enable "Show on Explore")
    • Help you find nearby users
    • Provide location-based task features
  • Device Information: We may collect information about your device, including device type, operating system, and app version.
  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, such as features used and actions taken.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Google Account Information: If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name and email address from Google.
  • Google Calendar Data: When you authorize Google Calendar integration, we access your calendar events through Google's API.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Provide and Maintain the App: To deliver core functionality including goal tracking, scheduling, and calendar synchronization.
  • Social Features: To enable friend connections, display your profile to friends, and show your location on maps (if you enable these features).
  • Explore Feature: To show you nearby users and allow you to send friend requests (if you enable "Show on Explore").
  • Location Sharing: To share your real-time location with friends (if you enable "Share Location with Friends").
  • Google Calendar Sync: To synchronize your tasks and events with Google Calendar.
  • Account Management: To authenticate users, manage accounts, and process account deletions.
  • Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, fix bugs, and improve App performance.
  • Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide technical assistance.

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1 With Other Users

  • Friends: If you enable "Share Location with Friends," your real-time location is visible to users you have accepted as friends.
  • Explore Feature: If you enable "Show on Explore," your profile and approximate location may be visible to other users in the Explore feature to facilitate friend connections.

4.2 With Third-Party Service Providers

We share information with the following third-party services that help us operate the App:

  • Firebase (Google Cloud Services): We use Firebase for authentication, database storage (Firestore), and file storage. Firebase is operated by Google LLC. Firebase Privacy Policy

4.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Share Location with Friends: You can enable or disable location sharing with friends at any time in the App settings.
  • Show on Explore: You can control whether your profile appears on the Explore feature in the App settings.
  • Background Location: You can disable background location access through your device settings at any time.

5.2 Google Calendar

You can disconnect your Google Calendar at any time through the App settings. You can also revoke the App's access through your Google Account settings.

5.3 Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time by:

  • Going to the Profile page in the App
  • Clicking "Delete Account"
  • Confirming your choice

When you delete your account, all of your personal data, including profile information, goals, tasks, and location data, is permanently deleted from our systems.

5.4 Data Access and Correction

You can view and edit your profile information, username, bio, and profile photo directly within the App. If you need assistance accessing or correcting your data, please contact us at solveitexperts@gmail.com.

5.5 Marketing Communications

We do not currently send marketing emails. If we introduce marketing communications in the future, you will have the ability to opt out.

6. Data Retention

  • Active Accounts: We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide you with services.
  • Deleted Accounts: When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted from our systems immediately.
  • Legal Obligations: In some cases, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements).

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using SSL/TLS
  • Secure authentication through Firebase Authentication
  • Access controls and authentication requirements
  • Regular security assessments

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The App does not have age restrictions, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where our servers and service providers are located.
